Blooming Knowledge , 2021
Pen, Pencil, Sharpie paint pen, Faber-Castell markers

Inspired by the book “All Because You Matter,” by Tami Charles, my work represents someone dying or going away, passing down knowledge which is up for interpretation on what it could be and is symbolized by the title, “Blooming Knowledge” and the delicate flower, with the hopes that this cycle will continue. The quote “Act as if what you do makes a difference” was chosen because passing down your knowledge does in fact influence others more than you would think. This piece was meant to be kept simple, without a background so the focus would be on the hands and flower and because the hands were difficult to draw even with a reference, having a simpler design was useful.
