The Kaaba , 2021
Mixed media

The significance of the Kaaba draws people and represents the metaphorical house of our God. This piece is inspired by the work of Abdoulaye Konaté. The atmosphere transitions from darkness to brightness, where we behold the light, a ray of hope, and become the light; this holy place nourishes our souls, results in good spirits, a special feeling, peace, and relief from stress, creating colorful moments. In-front of holy Kaaba terminating my eyes, I can see the sky turn colorful, recalling to me Allah is the only one, and it's believed that all wishes asked over there are special and mostly granted. Even though the holy place is black, white, and gold, its true identity encompasses and represents polychromatic in reality because white is the result of our sights mixing all wavelengths of light. The beauty of the Kaaba lies in the eye and perspective of the beholder.
