"Mr. Philip Cote (MFA, Young Elder, Artist, Activist, Ancestral Knowledge Keeper & Historian-
Moose Deer Point First Nation: Underwater Panther Clan- Shawnee, Lakota, Potawatomi, and Ojibway)
worked with two grade nine visual art classes at Stephen Lewis Secondary School investigating the Seven Grandfather teachings and how these teachings apply to the woodlands art style and Norval Morrisseau's work. The students crafted artworks based on what they learned and applied this learning to their woodlands artworks. "
