Experimenting with different kinds of mediums has truly helped Chris grow more as an artist. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chris would do anything from watercolors, to acrylics, to colored pencils while participating in art classes. At the height of quarantine, he began to work more with colored pencil and pen landscapes. Often he imagines places he would like to be, and works from there with pen to create the serene images in his mind. He loves to layer his colors to best capture the mood he is trying to evoke. He often uses purples for the dark and moody moments, with cheerful oranges and yellows to help brighten and enhance a focal point of his work. He’s looking forward to continue exploring other mediums and growing more creatively.
