Neil deGrasse Tyson is a world-famous astrophysicist and one of my personal heroes. When asked to draw a portrait of a powerful and talented BIPOC individual, I knew immediately that I would draw this great man. Not only does Tyson have nine doctorates and an esteemed scientific career, but he also advocates for racial and gender equality in the field of science.
