This work was actually for an assignment we had received in class. The assignment was to create a "Text Portrait'' of a person who represented black excellence. I had chosen Micheal Jackson as the person for my text portrait because I thought that he was someone that everyone knew in some capacity. After that, it was just finding words that describe Micheal Jackson along with a picture. My text "King of Pop'', is a little on the nose, but that is what he is most known for as the "King of Pop" during his era. When looking for a picture I had two requirements, I wanted a side profile of the face and two, I wanted an image that someone looks at and knows it's Micheal Jackson, and that was the picture that I found best fit those two requirements.
