Calm , 2021
Painting - acrylic paints on a canvas

"“Calm” was painted because I wanted to make a safe space in my house and I chose my room. So, when I am feeling big emotions and/or feeling stressed I go to my room and imagine the sunset and that I am at the beach in my room. Thinking of this makes me feel calm, at peace and happy. This makes my feelings feel more manageable and I am able to talk about them with my family. I also invite my family into my safe spot when they are feeling the same as me.
