"for emma" was the first song I professionally produced. I wanted to challenge myself to write something comforting, yet exhilarating and captivating. This song was truly inspired by mental health. Each time I went to work on it, I felt so mindful and in the moment. As an artist, it's easy to get caught up in constantly trying to please the listeners, which can take a toll on mental health sometimes. "for emma" is a gentle reminder to me to not worry so much about what other people think about my music and to simply focus on how I feel about it.
