Regrets + Anxiety

Miceli uses iconic packaging by known brands in a large portion of her work. “Regrets + Anxiety” uses imagery from a milk carton and cereal box with the words replaced with Miceli’s. These images propose the idea that as milk and cereal are considered a pair, so are Miceli’s regrets and anxieties. Miceli uses known pop-culture icons for their accessibility. This notion, tied with the accessibility of Instagram, provides a platform for people to view and understand art outside of a museum. Miceli’s style had gained her over 113 thousand followers on Instagram and has previously been commissioned for work by The New Yorker magazine.
