Painting with digital and generative design, silkscreen and more

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bernard Bousquet lives and works in Paris. He defines himself as "making painting". A painting called abstract, non-figurative, non-representative and devoid of any narration. It is a painting as the pure art of shapes and colors, as we say of music, it is the art of sounds.

Bernard Bousquet founded the Generator, artist-run-space located near Paris in 2006. It is a place of creation, open and abolishing the borders between plastic artists, performers, dancers, musicians, poets ...

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
Bernard Bousquet combines analog and digital. Analogue with this ancient technique of screen printing which allows to play with perfection and imperfection of the deposition of pigments. And digital and generative design with mathematical formulas and code to manipulate the chance. It is also a way of introducing contingency which makes a correspondence with the perfection / imperfection couple of the analog phase. It is a way to combine the techspressionism approach with ancestral technologies.
