ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tikoi Kuitenbrouwer started experimenting with analog double exposures around 1998.
Creating new realities by merging two realities has never left him since. The majority of his work revolves around the symbiosis between man and nature. The idea of mankind being above nature instead of being part of it is a big concern for the generations to come. By making it visual that man and nature are literally one, this notion is being addressed.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
The way technology has made it possible to carry a amazing quality camera in your back pocket. Makes it so you always have it hand to capture the moment before it’s gone. The fact that you can process, share and print from the same machine ensures the expression stays close to the source. In this case it made it possible to capture the flock of seagulls fleeing from a barking dog and superimpose it with my moody self.

PLEASE NOTE: The scale of this artwork has been adjusted for the purposes of this virtual exhibition.
