The last masked supper
h = 200, d = 2 cm

Our piece, inspired by the last supper of Leonardo da Vinci (1490s), reflects the distorted event of a dinner with friends and relatives. For decades and centuries, being physically close at the dinner table was a sign of community and a special bond. The definition of a social gathering has changed - restrictive rules are applied, in every context.

The pandemic destroyed (temporarily?) our cultural paradigm. Furthermore, we tend to exclude and judge people based on their personal opinion of vaccination - both individually and in our society.

Will the pandemic destroy our historical habits of being close? Will this new social event set-up rewrite history? What if Judas would have been in quarantine...
