#digital photography #digitwork

Old town in Albuquerque New Mexico on Christmas Day. There was a tradition, after midnight mass on Christmas, where luminarias or farolitos (small paper lanterns with a candle set in some sand inside a paper bag, were used as a means for lighting one's way home. The tradition still holds in some rual places of New Mexico but is more commonly decorative these days.
