Ragnagnas
h = 250, d = 2 cm

In the context of the covid-19 crisis, the French Government issued official detailed guidelines on how to wear a mask and how to dispose of it. Those official guidelines can be found everywhere we go, we eat, we learn.
By using the same template and formal language, the artists shed light on the (non-)existing communication by official institutions on the topic of periods and menstrual products.

It highlights the powerlessness of the government in helping girls during their periods. Instead of challenging the taboo, it insists that girls should adapt to it, and learn by themselves how to handle it.
This leads to a situation in which girls feel ashamed and, as a consequence, have to hide their periods. It is not a coincidence if French people refer to periods with the word “Ragnanas” or Italian people refer to it as “le proprie cose” (my things).
