We grow Plantic
h = 250, d = 2 cm

This work is the turnaround of the traditional Circular Economy concept. Indeed, by inverting the principle we propose to use nature to grow plastic (more than 500,000 tonnes of plastic is not recycled, furthermore it takes 30 years for the plastic to dispose itself). In fact, we imagine an apocalypse in which, due to the high level of plastic pollution, not trees or plants will grow, but plastic.

We have chosen as location for our installation a park that is well known among Parisians, the Jardin du Luxembourg. During weekends, Parisians have picnics and recreational activities in this location, leaving the park dirty and unkempt. Most of the debris left behind is the plastic they wrap their sandwiches in or drink from. Once, we had a picnic together and we were shocked by the amount of plastic left on the lawn! Indeed, once it had been collected we filled four rubbish bags!

Our aim through the work is present the roles linked to the lack of care and recycling of plastic in today's society.
