ABOUT THE ARTIST
Holly Gordon is a working innovative, fine art, documentary photographer and curator. Collaborating with artist Ward Hooper led to recently published book Parallel Perspectives: The Brush/Lens Collaboration she coined her creative break-through photo-liminalism. She engages in important social issues and as a master printer she has worked for non-profit to support major exhibitions including shows at Denise Bibro Fine Art, Harlem Gallery of Hunter College and Museum of the City of New York.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
I felt embodied by Jackson Pollock in 2006 as I photographed the rhythm of charging surf with its endless variety of drips and sprays in the Ke’aene Peninsula, Maui. Years later the opportunity to use NIK software transformed my computer into a modern-day darkroom and I stripped Nature of her clothing from those original photo files to reveal her raw power and energy. I am an integral fiber in the continuum of creativity. Technology has opened doors to exploration that I revel in.

Please note - the actual physical dimensions of this piece are 14.7 x 22 inches (h x w). The relative size of this work has been adjusted for the purposes of the virtual gallery presentation.
