Sally Muir is a painter who has recently turned to printmaking. Concentrating mainly on monotypes for their painterly quality and unpredictability.
The Beyond Black series of monotypes, drawn with a finger come out of a recent series of dreams, combined with reading almost all of the work of Hilary Mantel.
Sally graduated with a first class degree from Bath School of Art and Design in 2003 and has been working as a painter ever since.
She has won several competitions The Holburne Portrait Prize, a Discerning Eye prize, a National Art Prize and is held in many collections around the world including the Holburne Museum, V and A Museum and Ruth Borchard Next Generation Collection.
