Becky Haughton's work explores recollections of landscape via digital and traditional drawing and printmaking processes.

With drawings and snapshots as her subjects she uses repetitive mark making, composites, repeated elements and the distinctive qualities of printmaking to make new versions of these landscape memories. She aims to allude to fleeting visual moments experienced on journeys or holidays and how they may be distilled or embellished when re-imagined.

The Cloud series has grown from a desire to learn the mokulito process using her home mangle press whilst unable to access printmaking facilities. A collection of cloud drawings became the subject for the experiments. Having practiced the basics, Becky was able to return to the machinery at the university where she works and take full advantage of the offset-litho press to create a series of cloud portraits.

Becky graduated from Falmouth University with a degree in BA Fine Art (drawing & printmaking) in 2006. She was shortlisted for Northern Print's International Print Biennale in 2011 and invited to exhibit a solo show at The Customs House, Tyneside as part of the 2014 IPB. Her prints were on display in New York during 2019 at Manhattan Graphics Centre and selected for Dan Weldon's Solar Impressions exhibition, celebrating the solar plate process.
