The work of Caroline AreskogJones hovers between states, combining traditional and contemporary print based methodologies whilst exploring the poetic, the fragile and the uncertain.
In order to maintain an embodiment of thought, the formal prints in this series have been directly worked back into in order to create a unique dialogue with the surface. It is a means to heighten the sense of interconnectedness between human and nonhuman and ensures the sensibility remains 'active'.
Through direct observation of mineral, animal or vegetable states these hybrid works examine the transformation of matter in open form.

Caroline completed MA Print at The Royal College of Art in 2019 following being awarded 1st class BA(hons)FIne Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. She continues to develop her practice having been the recipient of the Szuzi Roboz Scholarship in 2016, Arts Charitable Award and having had work accepted as finalist for The Next Thing Moving Image Award.
Her work is held in the Hearsum Collection and having been awarded distinction for MA dissertation exists within The Royal College of Art Archive.
Opportunities to collaborate include participation in 'Breathworks' at Museum of Modern Art, Oxford 2020 and 'Creative Conversations' with artist Maria Chevska 2021.
