Catherine Greenwood is a Printmaker creating etchings, monotypes and woodcuts that convey her connection with the natural world. This new collection is inspired by walks to a lake in a hidden valley at Gravetye Manor, Sussex which gave her an opportunity to reflect on stillness and the sublime; a moment to find tranquility in this turbulent time.

Catherine lives in West Sussex where she has a studio; she is a Print Tutor at Putney Art School, London, having studied at Camberwell in late 80’s also KIAD and University of Maine USA. She has exhibited widely including RA Summer Exhibition & Houses of Parliament.
Her recent ‘Village Sketchbook Project’ and ‘Art Walks’ are community events leading people walking and drawing along paths on the South Downs and Cuckmere Haven.
During Lockdown, Catherine collaborated with composer Matt Gooderson to create WAVESCAPE a music album inspired by her etching which was shown at WCPF 2020. This work has become an installation connecting all the senses including dance and was featured in the spring edition of ‘Printmaking Today.’ She is a member of the Wilderness Art Collective and is planning a residency in Japan connecting the world of print with walks, music and birdlife and water.
