David Caldwell loves to experience the rugged beauty of natural landscapes.

His recent works explore the ever changing weather patterns which effect the landscapes around our coastal shores and countryside.

There’s a strong sense of mood and presence in his work, sometimes dramatic, sometimes serene. Texture, light and form play a strong part in bringing these qualities to the forefront.

David studied at the Laird School of Art and discovered his passion in printmaking. This has inflenced his 40 years in the creative industry. In the 90’s he embraced the emerging digital technologies combining these with his traditional printmaking skills.

He exhibited at the Menier Gallery in 2018. In 2019 at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Affordable Art Fair Battersea. Bell House, and won the public vote to exhibit at The Anna Lovely Gallery.

He has been short listed for the Boodle Hatfield Print Making Prize whilst exhibiting at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2020 - The online edition.
During June 2021 exhibited with CAMPARI x Affordable Art Fair: Art Without Walls, on digital 6-sheet screens throughout East London.

His works are mainly held in private collections both in the UK and aboard.
