Ian Cox is a fine art printmaker who lives and works in Devon where he produces limited edition prints that reflect his relationship with, and passion for, the coastal and moorland landscapes of Devon and Cornwall.

The limited edition relief lino prints he has submitted to the WCPF for 2021 explore landscape-inspired secrets and stories that resonate with our lived experience by conveying a sense of time passing, and of moments of confluence and coincidence, through an exploration of powerful forms and complex natural textures.

A mid-70's graduate of Exeter College of Art, his work is regularly exhibited in juried exhibitions, including the open exhibition run by the Royal West of England Academy (2020 and 2021). He was featured alongside 15 other international contemporary printmakers at the 2021 3rd Bienalle Internationalle Gravures & Estampes in Aguillon, France, and he exhibited at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2020. He is currently exhibiting a selection of his work at Torre Abbey, in Devon, through the summer of 2021, and is a featured artist at the Open Studio exhibition run by Artizan Gallery in Torquay for two weeks in September 2021.
