Teresa Zimbrón has received various recognitions, in the form of both scholarships and awards, and has made multiple individual and collective exhibitions nationally and internationally. Her work is part of important private collections and museums abroad.

She is the wife of Alberto Castro Leñero and the mother of Marco Castro, both artists whose work is also held in the Esteban Chapital Collection.
