Abandoned in Long Valley
45 x 35 in (h x w)

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I am always attracted to abandoned places including abandoned houses. This house was one I passed almost daily and took many photographs of. Since the time I photographed it someone has completely restored it and my quilt hung in the house for several months. I am always curious as to why people abandon things and what life it had previously. My husband and I purchased an abandoned house and restored it which took ten years and much work. At the time I had three children and a new baby. It was a spiritual experience and a lesson in patience and hard work.
