Le Chêne Chapelle (The Oak Chapel)
28 x 36 in (h x w)

"An inspirational story, well-told, intermingled with travel, enlightens my imagination. This spiritual tale, as told in Allouville-Bellefosse, envelops France's oldest tree, 800-1200 years old, which encases two chapels built in its lightening-hollowed trunk. Fifty-two feet across and forty-nine feet high, the tree welcomes the faithful to mass twice each year and is the destination of a pilgrimage each August 15.

The intriguing doorway, photographed and digitally printed, could not be rendered alone. The entire tree began to stretch upward on the design wall. The oak chapel's tale, reflecting its faithful followers, is retold."
