Mechanical Man
40 x 32 in (h x w)

So much of our lives proceeds mechanically. Our daily routine, recurring patterns of thought, action, and speech all occur automatically, without effort. We do and behave as we were wound up to do. But still, at the core of our being, somewhere just out of sight behind our shoulder, lies that miraculous spark of consciousness that gives us life, the light that is our real self. If we look hard, we can see that spark poking through the cracks in our humdrum days, calling us to embrace life with a sense of wonder.
