"Eminence" seems to outshine lots of other pieces when it comes to the intensity and glow of light. There is a hint of color above the horizon in the background. Other than that I only used black, white and a little bit of blue in this work.
Often I think of my paintings as a setting, a stage on which these cloud shapes present themselves. And this one has quite an entrance! The horizon seems to bend in order to contain this "Eminence" and the quality of its overwhelming light.
