Freddie Mercury

My artwork is a painting about Freddie Mercury, the lead singer from the British band Queen. The materials I used were A3 paper, pencils to draw the person, a black texta to outline and define the lines and characteristics, and after that, I used watercolour paint to fill in the drawing and give it some colour.
Queen is one of my favourite bands and it was only two days ago that it marked the 30th anniversary of Freddy’s death. This inspired me to draw him in honour of his day. My goal for this artwork was to really show what Freddie Mercury looked like. Maybe even to bring back memories for the people who went to some of his gigs and how amazing and talented he is. I love my artwork and it’s story. This is how I hoped my artwork turned out. Hope you like it!
