"Home".
Participating in the Extraordinary Art Collection of Scotland’s first Art Therapist was such an uplifting and influential experience. It was so good to work alongside participants, coordinators and those with knowledge of the body of work, exploring the work of artists unknown to me . Most of the work we explored had been created using limited resources, Pencil and paper, felt tips and even grass. I was particularly drawn to the work of Marylene  Walker who created pieces using domestic objects, which included coffee jars.  The pandemic has meant spending more time at home, often dealing with feelings of isolation and I felt a strong connection with her work.
"Home" was created using an empty mayonnaise jar, a piece of eggshell along and inks that were already in the house.
