This image was taken at Bouley Bay in Jersey, Channel Islands. It was high tide, and a wave has just broken onto the slipway - the sea is now receding over the cobbled surface, making what I thought was an interesting pattern. I chose to convert the image to black and white to emphasise the texture of the water as it flowed back into the sea.
