Who is the ‘Alien From Earth’? Is the astronaut becoming part of the universe? The second we leave this planet, we become aliens in relation to Mother Earth. The flowers inside the mask and the creatures on the control panel suggest that we are gaining control of our environment, ourselves, even a different dimension.

The undertone is a narrative that looks at humans in the future as they explore space and time travel - moving through the universe armed with advanced technology, but still trying to shed some of the problems that plague them on Earth, aka "Landfill Land"! Notice the "No Dumping" on the astronaut's helmet:)
Using retro-futuristic themes, Krovblit delves into Utopia vs. Dystopia. He mirrors the dysfunction of society. He examines our environment, our impact, the dichotomy of how we are living in this paradise that is now tainted, and thus needs protection - but how we also need to protect ourselves (enter the spacesuit and iconic astronaut helmet). Real insects are featured: beetles; they recycle our bi-products of waste on this planet. They deal with our consumption in a beneficial way. The prevalent butterflies jutting out signify change, as the astronaut explores new worlds and possibilities.
