Persephone’s Spring is inspired by the Greek myth. The legend tells of a naive maiden abducted and held captive in the depths of Hades' realm, awaiting her return to the gardens of Olympus.

Glass can be fickle, producing unexpected results that challenge my skill and artistic perspectives. Each piece involves multiple stages alternating layers of hand-crafted fragments of glass, kiln firing, hand polishing and shaping. The Kiln gods take control once a well-planned glass design enters, the lid is locked and kiln-forming begins. Outcomes are unpredictable. Opening the kiln is like waking up on Christmas morning to unexpected delights or the deflation of unfulfilled desires. Glass is a passion that pampers my soul unlike any other medium.
