Neil Sternberg is Canadian artist who resides in Port Sydney, Ontario. He is a self taught artist, forever on the search for the elusive elements that define the people and places around him. As an oil painter his main focus and inspiration is rooted in the environment in which he lives—the rural landscapes and the people who inhabit them.
In his figurative work, Neil interprets such feelings as solitude and desolation. In his landscape painting, he records the ephemeral, transitory nature of his surroundings as well as relating the landscape to a personal nostalgia.
