Artist Statement: My body has been a source of fascination throughout my life. I have gone through many eras of hate, disregard, and love for the limbs and fat rolls that accompany my body. For this exhibition, I wanted to share this work that shows someone loving and adoring themselves. I love my body and my existence as a fat woman. Beyond myself I am exhibiting painting of Jen, a beautiful woman who at the time was 8 months pregnant. Her love for her unborn child is precious. She again shows the love of the body, the love of the self.
