A depiction of incoming waves. This was painted at the turn of a difficult year where a new chapter is about to unfold. I used a variety of deliberate brush and knife works, but allow a good proportion of space for natural spreading and drips of the oil colours, I wished to convey a sense of being overwhelmed yet holding on to a glimpse of hope in these waves.
