Rainy Singapore
48 x 60 cm (h x w)
Oil

Singapore has two seasons: wet and wetter. In this piece inspired by the photography of teemusphoto.com, I examine the textures, light, and colors that come to life when the city gets inundated with rain. The composition of people surrounded by skyscrapers and shadowy faces conveys the ambivalence, awe, and loneliness of city life.
