Carnival
60 x 60 cm (h x w)
Oil

I was born on the tropical island of Trinidad & Tobago, where the biggest celebration of the year is ‘Carnival’. A festival of music, movement and colour; where participants dance through the streets in elaborate costumes, where musicians perform energetic Calypso music on a uniquely Trinidadian instrument called the Steelpan, where people come together and celebrate all that is Trinidad & Tobago. It is a cultural festival of joy; the ultimate celebration of life.
