Suspended appearances - Passages , 2022
40 x 30 cm (h x w)
Ink, Watercolour, Pencil

Light as a boulder.
Fragile as a rock.
Suspended like a mountain.

Wait.
Black is rough transition
on the naked soul.

In this painting series light, suspended, gentle, poetic appearances, float in the void as landscapes of the soul.

The gaze is interior and profound, the works emanate a subtle suffering that remains dormant or in the silent search for a way of escape and peace in a dreamlike dimension with a wider meaning.

The artist's stylistic research oscillates between East and West.
It is inspired by more than 15 years of life in Asia (between China and Singapore) in dialogue with a pressing need to reconnect with one's roots and return to Meod in Italy, a place of the heart which is the basis of meaning, a place chosen not to get lost or to find oneself, not to forget where you come from, to not take for granted, to put important things back into perspective, to take root knowing that you were lucky to have been able to give one larger and more airy space at the roots but also that sometimes you need to stop to grow.
