Got Milkweed? , 2015
31 x 24 in (h x w)

The Desert Milkweed (Asclepias subulata) in my front yard is not very showy but hosts many insects and bugs. Monarch caterpillars, tarantula hawk wasps, red milkweed bugs, and aphids feed on the plant. The toxin in the milkweed does not harm them but makes them unpalatable for other animals like birds. I like to watch those bugs, take photos, and learn interesting facts about them.
