I created Midstream as I researched Montana's native butterfly species. Exploring the life habits of the Silvery Blue Hairstreak evolved into thoughts on how although they recognize each other as being the same species, they are really somewhat solitary creatures. I think that we as humans are similar - we are also blown by the wind, traveling the currents, often going solo. I feel that we humans can make life better by fostering community, showing compassion, and reaching out to one another.
