Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama is an attorney, writer, and the wife of 44th President, Barack Obama. She was the first African-American First Lady of the United States. Mrs. Obama earned a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a juris doctor degree from Harvard Law School. During her time in the White House, Mrs. Obama focused on healthy families, service members and their families, higher education, and international adolescent girls education. She initiated Let’s Move!, which was a program aimed at ending childhood obesity within a generation. Annually, local schoolchildren helped plant and harvest the garden Mrs. Obama started on the White House South Lawn. The vegetables and fruits from the garden were served at the White House and donated to soup kitchens and food banks.

This artwork will be on display at Rocky Mount Mills through March 31, 2022, but will be available for delivery after that date. Applicable sales tax will be applied to the price shown.
