Description:
This illustration is a play on The Birth of Man by Michelangelo. In this case, we are seeing the Birth of a Movement Disorder. This illustration accompanied a paper that described a patient who underwent immunotherapy on cells in their blood stream, and who later developed a movement disorder that originated in the deep structures of their brain. We see here the “spark” from the cells leaving the blood stream and causing damage to the brain.
