Skye Cormier is an emerging self-taught artist and photographer. They embrace childlike impulses, harnessing both control and the loss of it, through chaotic colour, shape, and movement mirroring that of their own internal battles with a sense of identity, emotional regulation, and trauma. Skye utilizes many found tools and resources, bringing new life to the discarded. Like art as a concept, Skye’s is intrinsically linked with visual communication, aiming to give voice and conversation to traditionally tabooed and othered topics. She continues to expand and experiment with various tools and mediums building on both resources and growing creative experiences.
