Mixed Media

Size: 65 x 65 cm

As an artist since 1970, I have used a variety of media throughout my career. In the last few years, this has been mixed media, collage, soft pastel and recycled art and found materials. My work is underpinned by the Japanese Wasi Sabi, the art of impermanence. Accepting nothing is perfect, there is beauty in the imperfect, imperfection is the history of existence. works of abstraction. I am presently working on a series of pastel images concerning borders between sea, river and land. Soft pastels on paper are in recognition of climate change and the danger of flooding in this area of East Yorkshire.
