Artist Statement

My goal in photography is to remind people that when obstacles block them from achieving their goals, instead of giving up when they do not see a clear path, look for a different angle, approach your problem from another direction and use the tools you have to your advantage. For example, you are driving, and a prolonged driver is in front of you blocking your path, so to pass the driver, you look for a different angle like the next lane over and use your tools - in this case the side mirror, to move over safely passing the slow driver to continue on your destination. That is what my photograph means, instead of taking a portrait head-on the photo is from a different angle.

Even though I want my photos to remind the viewer not to give up when the path to your goal is not clear, or there are multiple obstacles, you just have to find a different perspective to approach the problem; I still have a long way to go to learn that too.
