"An aerial view of the journey of the Assyrian tree of life. It is formed by trees that are continuously growing upwards as if in prayer, to the sides as if tirelessly working to open up to the outside world and provide, and also growing in depth with connected roots that penetrate deep for as long as life. The atmosphere of Ochre, fiery and warm hues, represents the positive energy that is carrying pollen and seeds to the natural course within. It is our journey, and we're still on the way."
Agnes had interest in drawing and painting since childhood. She studied oil painting, color techniques, layering and tone analysis through observation from Assyrian Iraqi artist Adwar Alrsam and Iraqi art teacher Tariq Mekhail. Agnes later worked in a gallery in Baghdad where she was given the creative freedom to play with paint and sell her work after graduating from the Institute of Technology, Baghdad. In New Zealand, she attended life drawing workshops and has experimented with new artistic techniques. Her practice spans through different abstract art technique and styles.
