Produced in 1962, Campbell's Soup Cans (also known as 32 Campbell's Soup Cans) is one of the representative works by American artist Andy Warhol, a pioneer in the Pop Art movement. The artwork consists of 32 canvases, each of them measuring 50.8 × 40.6 cm painted with a Campbell’s Soup Can representing a unique flavor of the canned soup manufactured by the company. Screenprint, a printmaking technique involving a semi-mechanized process usually for commercial use, was used in the artwork. Using a non-painterly style to present his artwork, Andy Warhol innovatively engaged popular culture in his artistic creation. Marking Pop Art entering the mainstream, his artworks introduced the creative efforts of emerging Pop Art to the higher circles of art.
