This illustration encompasses the essence of woman in science while also putting corannulene under the spotlight. The main focus of composition is the scientist as well as corannulene. This is to portray the discovery of corannulene by the scientist as a eureka moment. I wanted to portray women in science as confident, fun, and brilliant individuals who are capable of the impossible. The dynamic pose and vibrant colour scheme was chosen to help incorporate these sentiments into the artwork. The background comprises of equipment from the chemistry labs. This is to showcase all the hard work and complexity that goes on behind the scenes.
