Spring , 2018
Acrylic on canvas

The work was chosen as it represents a Ukrainian artist from the collection of the gallery. Spring is a season but it's also an act of leaping in the air, when happy, for example. The Spring season is a time of rebirth, time of new hope and joy. Spring is a time when the past withered, but something new is still undefined. As a result, this painting can be understood as an illustration of current times, the old world is dying and something new is forming. We can only hope it will be something beautiful, fresh, and carefree like the people who leap in the air from genuine unbridled joy.
Irina Garshina was born in 1962 in Sumy, Ukraine. She completed her education in music and later started working in the field of visual arts.
