Plants and trees are disappearing because of climate change and human misuse of natural sources. Trees that take years to grow are quickly cut down, burned, or transformed for our consumerism. The land they occupied taken over, and all their inhabitants killed or displaced. Whole forests are disappearing at unprecedent rates. Today only 34% of Western Europe is covered by forests, while 2000 years ago forests occupied 80% of the land (1). Trees have memory, stored in their trunk rings they give us information about climate change. Leaving a sign on a tree is associated to love and romance, a way to say: we exist, we were here. What will be without them? What will we become without them?
